Short-form video has become one of the most influential drivers of purchase decisions — yet there's no seamless way to identify and buy the products you see. Users are left screenshotting, reverse image searching, or scrolling through comments hoping someone's tagged the brand. The journey from discovery to purchase is broken.
The problem

The video commerce market is projected to exceed $2 trillion globally by 2030. Loop sits at the intersection of AI and commerce, using product identification technology to close the gap between "I want that" and "I bought that."
My role
I founded Loop and lead end-to-end product design and development — from initial market research and business case through to UX, visual design, and technical architecture. This is a solo project where I own every decision.
I started with market research to validate the opportunity, mapping the existing landscape of social commerce tools and identifying where the experience breaks down for users. From there I defined the core user flows — paste a video link, get identified products, and purchase — keeping the interaction model as frictionless as possible.
The tech stack is built around Google Vision API for AI-powered product identification, with Supabase handling the backend infrastructure. I designed the product for mobile-first, reflecting how people naturally consume short-form video.
The Approach
Loop is currently in the design phase, with core user flows and the design system defined. Next steps include building out the functional prototype and refining the AI identification accuracy.
